It’s Blogmas Day 11! It’s been a really busy day today. I’ve spent all day long in the kitchen baking up sweet treats for family coming into town tomorrow. Since it’s been so busy, I’ve decided to do a quick blog post and share my top 10 favorite Christmas movies in no particular order.
1. The Santa Clause
I just love the Christmas magic of this movie. Tim Allen is really funny as well.
2. The Nativity Story
This movie is so beautifully produced it really makes the Christmas Story come to life. It’s one of my favorite movies to watch closer to Christmas day.
3. Home Alone
This is one of my all time favorite movies to watch during the holiday season. I actually watch it year round if I happen to catch it playing on TV. It’s one of those movies that I’ve watched throughout my childhood and I have made it a tradition to watch at least once during the Christmas season.
4. Christmas With the Kranks
This is another Tim Allen movie that also features Jamie Lee Curtis as his wife. I think it’s a really relatable story of how sometimes the Christmas traditions of decorating, hosting friends and family, and participating in all of the Christmas activities can get really tiring. In the end, though, it’s all of the traditions, friends
The movie is just funny! Even though I’ve seen it many times I still laugh out loud at certain parts. My brother and I are always joking around with Elf quotes, especially during this time of year. Whenever we see Santa Claus one of us usually yells “Santa, I know him!”. If you’ve seen the movie, you’ll know exactly what I’m referring to. If not, you need to go watch it NOW!
6. The Holiday
This holiday rom-com is funny but so heartfelt as well. I’m a sucker for a good love story and this one has two in it!
Roudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer
I love the old classic version of this movie where the characters kind of look like furry stuffed animals. There are a few movies in the same series and I love them all.
8. The Grinch
I grew up watching the cartoon version of this movie and when the live-action movie came out, I grew to love the story again. The production of the movie is really great and Jim Carry is amazing portraying the Grinch character.
9. A Charlie Brown Christmas
This is one of those classic movies that I have to watch at least once during December. I watched all of the Charlie Brown holiday shows as a child and I still enjoy rewatching them and remembering those childhood Christmases.
10. Miracle on 34th Street
I love a good Christmas movie with a good love story and this one is it! I’ve probably seen this movie over 100 times through the years. It’s one of those feel-good classic movies that makes you feel the magic of the Christmas season.
