It’s that time of year for us planner girls, when those cute little colorful boxes from Erin Condren arrive on our doorstep. I’ve been getting one of these adorable little packages for a few years now and it’s like my own personal Christmas in summer!
Since my last post on my Erin Condren life planner was so popular, I thought that I would do a post on unboxing my new planner and all of the goodies that I ordered to go with it this year. I always order my planner as soon as they launch (usually May/June). It usually takes a few weeks to get my order in because the new launch is always a super popular event. The packages are always wrapped up with colorful tissue just begging to be opened!
This year there were two promotions running when I placed my order which included an exclusive sticker sheet and a hardbound notebook. I also ordered a few extra accessories including a designer sticker book, planny pack, mini snap in bookmarks, and mini magnetic page markers.
The life planner that I ordered this year was the vertical neutral style with the Colorful Bouquet cover and black coil. I own quite a few covers from previous planner purchases so I do switch them out through the year as they easily snap on and off. The planner came with a plan for it pouch, a large coil clip, 3 compliment cards, gift label stickers, a coupon for my next order, and a perpetual calendar (not pictured).
The first major difference that I noticed in the planner compared to my previous one is that the paper is so much nicer! Erin Condren really upped the game this year using a great quality thick paper throughout the entire planner. This helps with pen bleeding problems that I have experienced before with my previous planners. The planner comes with a monthly spread and is followed by the weekly spread. I prefer the vertical layout for my weekly spread because it helps me to break each day up into personal, work, and to do lists.
The layout has changed at the end of each month from the previous lined paper to a new fun layout with different sections to write in whatever you choose. I haven’t figured out exactly what I’m going to use this section for yet but I’m thinking I may include monthly goals or even notes for birthday or holiday gift ideas. At the very back of the planner after the last day in December there are 3 lined notebook style pages, 4 dot grid pages, and 4 patterned coloring pages. This section of the new Life Planner is the only part that I really wish had not been changed. I personally prefer all lined pages because I use them to write yearly goals as well as information that I transfer over to my new planer each year.
There are also included sticker sheets in each life planner. This year the first two pages have the cutest gold, rose gold, and platnium metallic stickers! These pages come coiled into the planner so that you always have access to stickers on the go. I use these to mark special dates, appointments, or important reminders.
There are also some blank stickers included that are great for writing in appointment times, birthdays, or special events.
The last thing in the planner is a storage pocket made of a thick card stock type paper. I usually keep extra stickers in the front pocket and the perpetual calendar in the back.
